February 2006 ____________________________________________________________ ouch

Ouch...

This month's update is going to be pushed back and combined with next month (March). All of the writing from the month of January and February will be up and posted, and who knows what else will pop up between now and then.

Featured guest writer, kx, has been kind enough to hold on to her writing until then as well.

Please check back in at the beginning of March for the next update. Thanks.

a month left unfinished

dot dot dot

There is such irony and symbolism in leaving the last month of the year unfinished. It goes right along with my ideas about my birthday and the celebration of holidays - it's just another day. I've started writing "2006" when I write the date, that's about the extent of change this new year has brought.

New year's resolutions are not for me. A new year marked by our calendar, "a system for naming periods of time," does not define a beginning or an end. The first week of January has been spent in a hurried dash to complete - complete writings, complete gifts, complete lists.

Perhaps what I should be commenting on is renewal - to restore to existence.

Here's a word I'll give you to ponder this month: lovequeer.

Coming next month: Featured Guest Writer, kx.
