I fell into Fall and skinned my knee
on cement that wasn't as soft as I thought it would be

October kicked my ass. So much so that some of the things I wrote are now hard to read. Creativity usually ceases when I'm down, but my mind was in need of expression and writing was the outlet this time. It's felt like I camped out inside my brain for about a month.

I also did a lot more reading in October than in previous months. I finished Bum Rush the Page, which is a unique experience for me (to finish). As someone brilliant recently said, reading is very much a recursive process. There is a lot of stopping, thinking, re-reading, more thinking, internalizing, and then turning it all loose in my brain and seeing what happens. It's strange to see the influence in what I read onto what I write. Here's an example: Warrior was shaped by "Disasterology" by Jeffrey McDaniel.

Thanks for checking out the site. Thanks for coming back. Enjoy November.
