Another
week. Another update. Don't get so excited, sheesh. I've posted a new gallery
of my brothers wrestling. Don't worry though, it was all in good fun. They laughed,
smiled, and giggled the entire time. A few of the pictures look more like gay
porn than a wrestling match, so if that's your thing then you should enjoy it.
And if not then maybe you'd just like to see two young men wrestling...hmmm,
still sounds like gay porn. I've also posted two graphic art pieces I did. My
brother, an aspiring graphic web designer, did a lot of art while he was here,
and I was a bit inspired. But mine are definately nothing spectacular!
For those
of you who pay attention to the news (and even for those of you who don't) you've
seen the pictures of Odai and Qusai Hussein plastered across your tv's. Their
inflated dead bodies showing bruises and gunshots, with blood caked on their
skin. I am hardly bothered by the fact they are dead. What bothers me is our
governments celebration of it, and the releasing of the pictures to the media.
They used the excuse of "showing the Iraqi people they were really dead"
to justify the action. But come on, let's be real. That was for us, the people
of the United States...citizens, taxpayers, voters. Our tax money financed the
war. Our votes will keep W in office. WE are who THEY answer to in some respects.
So please don't be fooled as to why the government released those pictures.
They have failed at capturing/killing Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, and
the public, us, have gotten tired of hearing about the close calls and have
been losing our patience and diligence in both wars. The public demands results,
therefore the great United States of America will SHOW you results, hence murderous
pictures of Saddam's dead sons. Yes they were evil, yes it sent a loud message
to Saddam, but do we really need to SEE it? Don't be fooled my friends...resist
government propaganda, because that's what this is.
Bad Boys 2
Movie Review...
If you love action, like me, then you're gonna love this movie. Bad Boys 2 has
explosions, car chases, destruction, and mayhem all around! Action + comedy
= box office success...that's the formula for this movie. Will Smith and Martin
Lawrence really do make a great team, and in this go around Martin Lawrence
steals most of the scenes from the shapely Will Smith. Ha! Martin Lawrence rollin'
on E...it almost doesn't get any funnier than that. Another notable standout
is the smokin' HOT Gabrielle Union. Not only is she fine, but she kicks ass
right along side Big Will and Funnyman Martin. And the best action sequence
to me was the Hummer 2 racing down a hillside shantytown destroying everything
in it's path. It was killa! The action shots put you right inside the car crashes
because the director mounted cameras to the cars that were being crashed. Check
out some behind the scenes thing on one of the movie channels for more info
on that.
Negative...
The plot was pretty lame, but it's an action movie so it doesn't need to be
great. There was also a lot of police vs. bad guy shoot em' up, ride em' cowboy
sequences. But that can be forgiven because of the awesome car chases.
Overall...
If you enjoy a good action movie then check it out. If you dig a good comedy
flick then see this. But however if you prefer a real suspense mystery or a
good romantic comedy then I would stay away. If you like all kinds of movies
then you should enjoy this one.
Whenever
I find something really cool for my computer I try to share it with as many
people as possible. And my new find this week is Pop-Up
Stopper by Panicware.
Pop-ups have become one of my biggest problems when surfing the net, and I'm
sure many of you share my frustration. I just recently installed the freeware
version on my PC and I haven't had one pop-up yet. The program runs in the background
and it's small so it won't be hogging any memory. It also alerts you to when
it has blocked a pop-up if you want it to. For more information or to read user
opinions click on over to www.download.com.
