The blackout is over in my area, thank the powers that be for that. The lights
are on, the AC is pumping, all is wonderful. I have posted a lengthy review
of my blackout experience (link), so read on my friends.
On with the regular update...
For your viewing pleasure I have posted two new entries in the Gallery. One
is of my living/work/play space, and the other is of my doggy. I just felt like
doing this because I always wonder about people's homes and where they let their
hair down and are truly themselves. I think you can tell a lot about a person
by seeing their living space. And the pic of my dog is just too adorable not
to post.
I've also uploaded the videos from the past edition of Soulsmiles into the Archive
section. Both of the ones I made with my brothers are available, and two experiments
with Adobe Premiere are also up. So if you haven't seen them then check 'em
out, and if you have then give them another look!
Coming soon...a review of S.W.A.T!
This past
weekend I was witness to an accident at a somewhat dangerous/busy intersection
(14 Mile & Haggerty). I was in my mom's car, waiting to make a left, and
something just didn't look right. We've all heard the saying that we make like
a million observations every minute in our unconscious mind. I couldn't figure
out what was wrong in that split-second until the accident, just a few seconds
later. A car was coming through the intersection when it shouldn't have, meaning
it was running the red light. And one car went by without getting hit, but the
second car that came through was a dead on collision. I said "oh shit!"
and slammed my car in park, opened the door, and ran to the cars. There were
no major injuries; the woman who ran the red light was shaken but calm, her
passenger was very concerned about her appearance and if she was going to have
fat lip. She actually said, "I need a mirror." The woman who was hit
had a pretty bad headache and she was going in and out of shock. One moment
she was calm and under control, and the next she was freaking out. It took 10-15
minutes for the cops to arrive, which was surprising and disappointing. My mom
called them twice too! We stayed until the cops showed up, just to make sure
nobody flipped out or whatever. I've been asking myself what compelled me to
jump out of the car, nobody else did, why did I?
This is an
official Soulsmiles shoutout to my brother, Tyler. He has once again brilliantly
redesigned his website, so take a peak at www.figure550.com.
