I have finally registered for fall classes at Oakland U. I am taking History of Western Art 2 because once I get past that I can take some really cool art history courses like History of Photography. And my other class is Fiction, which is an English class. From all the writing books I've read, in order to be a good writer you have to read and I've never really been a big reader, so hopefully by taking a class where all I do is read classic fiction I will be enlightened. School starts September 3rd, which is eleven more days...eek! School caught me off guard this year. My brothers started back to high school and I really didn't even flinch when it came to preparing for me to go back. I was actually talking to my friend Steve the other day and we were talking about when we go back, and I had no clue when I did. I checked it out and was like "holy ratpoop batman, that's soon!" But all is on task, I've registered, I've gotten my major change rolling; soon I will be officially a Bachelor of General Studies major, with a concentration on writing and photography, and possibly a minor in women's studies. Of course, I could change my mind in a month because that's what I do.

If you haven't heard already, Linda Cardellini (pic) is joining the cast of ER, one of my top five favorite shows. She will be playing a nurse who is also a "free-spirited single mother." For those of you who have no idea who I'm talking about you may know her as Velma from Scooby-Doo, but I know her from "Freaks and Geeks," which was a hilarious show about a 1970's Michigan high school...it really was funny too.

I saw the trailer for Battle of Shaker Heights at the last movie I went to and I thought it looked hilarious. It's also the movie from this season's Project Greenlight. Click HERE to see the trailer.

I am having major issues with this wannabe-Jesus in Alabama who refuses to remove his ten commandments monument from the courthouse. The separation of church and state has been part of our Constitution since the beginning...SINCE THE BEGINNING. So why is this man now challenging the Constitution? I don't think it's his religious conviction that's lighting the fire beneath his ass, it's his thirst for noterity...his 15 minutes. But his outright violation of the First Amendment is becoming a rallying cry for bible-thumpers across this country who believe their religion is the only religion. If I lived in Alabama I would rent a semi, attach some chain around this monument, and rip it the fuck out.
