Define: Cynicism
the gag reel reveals my heel slipping on the cliff's edge
I made the mistake of believing joy could be lasting
flailing through the universe of my days
knowing the landing will be a magnificent pain
carelessly draped tears stretch like
bottom heavy pearls waiting for recognition
my body aches and I long for that fatal joy
to feel whole walking in a minefield.
