been holdin' on to the ground with my feet
wondering where the rumbling is coming from
there is stillness in jumping from a shaking earth
but gravity is a law I can't revolutionize
there is no up up up and floating away
naw I got to deal with this shit on the down down down
gettin' exhausted in this conversation with fear
but I'm not lookin' to kick its ass show it who's boss
the questions I have begin with "why"
why this dominance this terror this suffocation?
why this submission this ignorance this naviete?
but fear ain't hearin' none of what I got to say
been a preacher of All That Is May Not Be
but that ground I been testing for solidity is sky
guess I forgot to move when the earth rotated
shaking ground can be a distraction from noticing movement
thinkin' all the while that all that was just was
but what was isn't and I'm left smiling upside-down
my dismay at this exit is actually my denial
