Stardust
a shade of blue mimicking night
moonless and weighted
dripping over a mocking horizon
she's laughing in exhaustion
her curves diminishing
sinking into themselves, shriveling
you know there's no going back now
only maintenance and knowledge-building
the core will eat us alive
burned into nothing but memory
figments of an eroding mind
where even screams are silent
our lives a single glimmer of stardust
a twisting reflection of insignificance
fading, faded, gone
