you were the definition of Woman when we met
beautiful
intelligent
fierce
feminine
you shook my hand
then put it back into your pocket
taking my adoration with you
nonchalantly peeking in your direction
you had one leg tucked under you
the other dangling over the side of the chair
the toe of your black boot touching the floor
you looked at the ground when you spoke
but with your head up
taking your time with words and sentence structure
you didn't know it then
